Please just don’t 🤐

Hi lovelies,

I am entering the 23rd week of my pregnancy tomorrow and it’s kind of mixed feelings. It goes fast but at the same time it doesn’t. I seriously looking forward to have our little baby in our arms but I DON’T look forward to the sleepless nights. I remember it was sooo difficult last time. 😴😩

Being pregnant is a blessing, it’s beautiful and it’s life changing. BUT pregnancies come with some lovely comments from EVRYONE and EVERYWHERE on what to do and what to eat and what not to do and what not to eat. Seriously this is my second time around so I have grown a thicker skin and the only person I listen to when it comes to recommendations is my doctor. Apart from this I really don’t understand why commenting on a pregnant lady’s body shape change or weight gain is considered to be OK. YES we do gain weight during pregnancy but hey you know why? That’s because A PERSON IS GROWING INSIDE OF US! Jeez! 🤐🤐

I have already heard it all: “Oh are you sure it’s a singleton? It does look like twins.”, “Oh aren’t you much bigger this time around?”, “oh how much did you gain? I only gained 5 kilos during my all 55 pregnancies”. 😒😒

And so on and so on. I am 23 weeks pregnant and so far I have gained 10 kilos. To be honest I don’t care. I am eating healthy, living healthy and if the gain weight is necessary for my baby to grow then I am totally fine with it. I will worry about losing the extra weight when the baby is out. I feel great and loving my bump! With Nilia I gained 15 kilos in total and lost 12 within the first 40 days so I really do not worry about this. 👊🏼

So next time you see a pregnant lady walking somewhere just remember this sentence: If you don’t have anything nice to say then please say nothing at all. 👏🏻
